Your posts are always such an inspiration! Thank you for sharing so candidly. I am about half a year into my academic nomad journey and looking forward to the research and also eventually finding a place to land.

That’s a lot Anne! Change often seems to come all at once. At least, the nuts and bolts of it, you find out you’ve gotten a job, your house has a contract on it, and your kid just got into a particular college, all in one week. At least, that’s my experience. But of course, there’s all the underground less noticeable work and incremental change that goes on in the waiting, the pondering, the worrying. I’m glad you have a place to be (with a 300 year old fireplace no less)!

It’s awesome how things are falling into place for you like a well-times kaleidoscope.

I’m about to pivot, will submit myself to a possible mentor very soon. I hope the stars align for me too. 🙏

Brava! I so enjoyed reading your story, Anne. It resonates with my life and inspires me. Well done for taking the leap of living your creative life no matter what! That is very brave of you. I am a solo mum, longing for traveling and writing. I think I have found my home here on Substack!

Loved reading your journey through life. What a lovely read today to hear you have found your base, a place to settle, and that the course has just fallen into place. Amazing 💙

Looking forward to hearing more about your journey and life.

You are such an inspiration! I quit, too. I'm a newborn in this new life and not too upset about it either. I love what you say about planting seeds and sending signals.

So happy to read about the pieces of life falling into place for you. Congratulations! And I just spent a month in Scotland and getting to see Edinburgh was a magical experience. Such a special place to get to live in. Good for you!

Welcome to Edinburgh! We lived there for many years and loved it (despite the weather). It's a beautiful, romantic city. It's always wonderful when the stars align ⎼ how wonderful for you.

Resonating with the stars aligning! After a major breakdown through my Saturn Return I'm in a place where things are happening with ease and enjoyment. I have a trip to Italy next month and am so ready to call in a baby. Life just feels magical - thank you for sharing some of your journey. Inspired!

I quit too! It's liberating, stepping back. Giving myself the time and space to start healing, find my balance, and rekindle the spark of my creativity. Finding Substack and building community, finishing my novel, growing food. I trust the universe and am open to whatever happens next! It's great to find others on similar journeys here.

The magic is working -- things are coming together. You certainly put a lot of energy out there. I find that a gutsy move to go back to school to join a writing program. Smart, too. Keep the faith! I'm sure your memoir will take off. Just look at the readers you already have for your Substack. You are an inspiration! Kudos to you.

I too have recently found that creating a clearer focus on what I want produces results. Of course the intention is all important. I wanted to know more about a Tibetan Dakini, a magical figure also considered a goddess and wham bam, it's all coming together. I'm not sure what's next, but right now, I have much reading to do. And keep the portals open.

Keeping the portals open is super important. My word of the year last year was open. I just wanted to see what came to me. Then the next year was about going after what I discovered that I wanted. My word of the year this year was, I think, work.
